Bio
Amber creates sculptural metal artifacts that honor endurance, grit, and unseen labor. Working primarily in industrial steel, structural cable, raw fasteners, and patinaed surfaces, she builds objects that carry physical and emotional weight - refusing the fleeting or decorative.
Raised in an Idaho mining town where machines and infrastructure formed the daily backdrop, Amber's work draws from a lived understanding of systems, resilience, and quiet persistence. After years of large-scale public art installations in Boise, she now operates a small studio in the Piney Woods of Southeast Texas with her husband Josh.
Each piece begins with hand drawn sketches and material tests, resulting in finished objects marked by visible seams, honest joinery, and material truth. Her unique vision comes together into substantial, self-evident markers that belong equally in corporate spaces, home offices, or future archives.
Amber is interested in commissions and exhibitions that explore themes of continuity, stewardship, and the residue of real effort in an increasingly abstract world.
